A new Double Taxation Agreement has been added to the wide network of Double Taxation Treaties that Cyprus already has with a large number of countries.
Following its emergence as an independent state, Slovenia adopted the double taxation agreement dated 29 June 1985 between the former Yugoslavia and Cyprus. A new double taxation agreement has now been agreed between Cyprus and Slovenia. It was signed on 12 October 2010 and will take effect when it has been formally ratified by both countries. Until then the existing 1985 treaty will continue in effect.
The Slovenian President Dr. Danilo Turk visited Cyprus for 2 days in order to discuss various political and financial issues with the President of Cyprus. This new Agreement will further promote the business and economic relations between the two countries.
